Help to Reduce Fees Due

Starting from academic year 2017/2018 the on-line procedure for claiming reduced tuition fees (the Revenue Financial Status Index (ISEE) self-declaration) on the grounds of income and merit is available by logging in with username and password and accessing on-line services for students within procedures for registration/pre-enrolment or enrolment renewal.

Students must comply with income and merit requirements provided for in the Administration Handbook for Students in order to obtain reduced tuition fees.

PLEASE NOTE:

Starting from academic year 2017/2018 the on-line procedure for claiming reduced tuition fees is compulsory for all students and is included in the registration/pre-enrolment procedure (new students and students enrolling in the 1st year only) or the re-enrolment procedure (students enrolling in any year except the 1st year). Such procedure is mandatory also for students who do not comply with fees reduction requirements or who do not wish to submit their ISEE (students must click on "I declare I do not wish to submit my ISEE" rather than "I authorize the University of Macerata to obtain ISEE data from INPS (the National Social Security Institute)".

Academic Year 2017/2018

For Academic Year 2017/2018 deadlines for the on-line procedure are:

  • From 1st August 2017 to 15th January 2018 for registration/pre--enrolment
  • From 1st August 2017 to 31st July 2018 for enrolment renewals

The on-line procedure simply requires students to authorize the University of Macerata to obtain ISEE details directly from INPS (the National Social Security Institute) database. Students are strongly advised to be sure they have their ISEE 2017 before they apply on-line to register/pre-enrol or re-enrol.

By so doing, at the end of the on-line fees reduction application procedure, ISEE data pertaining to students is obtained automatically and fees are recalculated including reduction so that students are required to pay customized fees on the grounds of their ISEE data. If full payment is required without reduction, students may ask the student administration office for further checking.

PLEASE NOTE:

    If procedure is performed correctly students will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of application, sent to their official e-mail (ex.: username@studenti.unimc.it) if it is operating, or to their personal e-mail if that should not occur. If that is not the case, the application is invalid and requires completion. If any problem arises please contact the relevant Student Administration Office or the university InfoPoint (contacts).

    Foreign students or Italian students not living in Italy are exempt from submitting the ISEE certificate (they need to click on the "Foreign Student" (Studente straniero) option when applying online) and shall be placed in taxable bands according to the following criteria:

    • If they come from an extremely poor and developing country (as laid down in Ministerial Decree No. 556/2016 -  listing)  → they fit in the minimum taxable band (ISEE value ranging between € 0 and € 15.000);
    • If they come from a non-OECD member country the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) does not classify as an extremely poor and developing country → they fit in the second taxable band (ISEE value ranging between € 15.000 and € 30.000) and are allotted an ISEE value of € 16.000 to establish their customized amount.
    • If they come from an OECD member country (http://www.oecd.org/about/membersandpartners/) → they fit in the second taxable band (ISEE value ranging between € 15.000,00 and € 30.000) and are allotted an ISEE value of € 22.000 to establish their customized amount.
