Help to Reduce Fees Due

The online procedure to claim reduced fees on income/property and merit grounds is available once you have logged in the "Log-in Area" for student online services, within the period shown in the Administration Handbook for Students (You may click on the item in the menu "Reduced Fees Claim Form" - in italian "Domanda Riduzione Tasse" once you have logged in).

Academic Year 2016/2017

For academic year 2016/2017 the online procedure shall be available starting from 15th October 2016 to 31 January 2017.

The online procedure simply requires students to express their intention to claim reduced tuition fees and to authorize the University of Macerata to check their income and property data (the Revenue Financial Status Index [= ISEE], the Property Status Index [= ISP], the Revenue Property Status Index [= ISPE] and the equivalence scale) by accessing directly the National Social Security Institute (INPS) database.
Upon completing the online procedure, students are automatically and provisionally placed in the highest taxable band. After the deadline, student requisites are checked (enrolment, income/property, merit) and any applicable reduction in fees is detracted from the second instalment of fees and tax due.

    If procedure is performed correctly you will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of application, sent to your official e-mail (ex.: If that is not the case, your application is invalid and requires completion. If any problem arises please contact the relevant Student Administration Office or the university InfoPoint (contacts).

    In addition you have to apply for the ISEE certificate to an accredited Tax Return Advisory Centre (CAF) or other official operator or to an INPS office within 31/12/2016 , while the deadline for the online application procedure is 15/01/2017. The University of Macerata is unable to assist you in the issuing of the ISEE certificate.

    Foreign students or Italian students not living in Italy are exempt from submitting the ISEE certificate (they need to click on the "foreign student" option when applying online) and shall be placed in taxable bands according to the following criteria:

    • If you come from an extremely poor and developing country (as laid down in Ministerial Decree No. 556/2016) → you fit in the minimum taxable band (ISEE value ranging between € 0 and € 9.999,99);
    • if you come from a non-OECD member country the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) does not classify as an extremely poor and developing country → you fit in the medium taxable band (ISEE value ranging between € 10.000,00 and € 39.999,99) and are allotted an ISEE value of € 15.000,00 to establish your customized amount;
